The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities in which students can participate. Clubs and committees are organized and/or supervised by teachers and meet either during lunch or after school.
Our school choir performs at our spring and winter concerts, as well as during school assemblies.
Reach for the Top is an academic quiz competition requiring a mind for trivia and quick thinking.
In DECA, students hone analytical and communication skills by presenting case studies in marketing, human resources, and related business disciplines.
Students create handmade cards for holidays and special occasions.
Our Service and Leadership Team organizes school events such as our annual Thanksgiving food drive and winter clothing drive.
The worship band leads our student body during school-wide chapel sessions. Participating in the worship band can also result in a 1/2 credit in Music Performance per year of participation.
In the Model United Nations club, students can develop their public speaking, writing, debating, research, and critical thinking skills as they learn about diplomacy, world issues, different cultures, and international relations.
This club involves studying and playing various strategic games, including chess.
In preparation for the University of Waterloo math contests, students practice and discuss problem sets together.
In the crochet & knitting club, students of all levels come together to crochet or knit different projects throughout the year (eg. headband, hat, scarves).
The Health Occupations Students of America is a club that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. Students study together and attend conferences and competitions.
Students in the Torch club contribute literary or artistic work to the school newspaper - The Torch.
