Christmas Break

NTCS will be closed from Saturday, December 21st, 2024 to Sunday, January 5th, 2025 for Christmas break. The NTCS staff would like to wish families a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year. We look forward to welcoming students back in school on Monday, January 6th, 2025. It will be a Day 1.

Christmas Vacation

Families with early trip plans in December or delayed return in January should inform the office at office@ntcs.on.ca. Thank you.

NTCS Coat Drive

Thank you everyone for your generous contributions to our NTCS Coat Drive. The drive was a big success, and many people are sure to benefit from your donations this holiday season! All clothing donations will be going to The Scott Mission.

Winter Chandos

The Winter Chandos schedule for Grade 3 to 9 students has been published in the December Newsletter. Please refer to the newsletter for your child's scheduled Chandos dates. An information letter regarding your child's upcoming trip will be sent a week before their scheduled trip date.

I have a lot of great memories from my time at NTCS/TYS. In particular, I remember our trips to Chandos fondly. They were a really unique opportunity that sparked a love for the outdoors that has stayed with me to this day. On a recent camping trip, I could almost hear Dr. Jay's voice reminding me that settlers used birch bark as kindling for their campfires.

One of my best memories would be Mr. Collins' senior year law class. From the subject matter that we learned, to the essays that we wrote, to the mock trials that we were regularly engaged in, it was a course that was not only fun and interesting but one that had us always thinking critically.
