Meet your teacher as usual in N1. You will go to C4 together.

1.      Find and sit with the group of 4 you worked with last class, when you discussed your assigned 3 principles of democracy.
2.      Finish discussing the meaning of the 3 principles, and fill in the columns (on the handout "Activity 4.3: Democratic Principles") to the best of your ability.
3.      Use the internet to find two current events (news articles) happening locally, nationally, or internationally. One of these articles should be an example of 1 of your 3 principles of democracy being UPHELD. One of these articles should be an example of 1 of your 3 principles of democracy being DENIED.
4.      Download the attached file. Use it as template to summarize your findings about the news articles. Type in your responses in the file.
5.      Have your group email ONE copy of your completed work to Mrs. Yoo (qyoo@ntcs.on.ca) by the end of the period. (If you need more time, by the end of the day).

Be prepared to present your 3 assigned principles of democracy to the class when I return on Thursday.

HW: Read p. 24-25 of your textbook, take summary notes. Keep this in your own binder.
